Order Process & Selection
At SOM Universal, each creation is the result of thoughtful design, skilled craftsmanship, and careful material selection. Clients may choose from our curated collections or explore the development of custom pieces based on specific spatial and design requirements.
We are happy to guide you through the selection process and help you identify pieces that best suit your space. Once the final selection is confirmed, a detailed Proforma Invoice is issued, outlining product specifications, quantities, pricing, estimated volume, weight, and delivery timelines to support efficient planning for air or sea shipments.
Confirmation, Payment & Production
The Proforma Invoice serves as the formal confirmation of the order, detailing all commercial and logistical terms. Upon approval, the order is taken into production. Each piece is crafted in small batches, with close attention to form, finish, and quality, ensuring consistency while preserving the character of handwork.
Craftsmanship, Inspection & Packing
All creations are individually inspected before dispatch. As our products are handcrafted from natural wood, slight variations in grain, tone, texture, and form are an inherent and celebrated part of the process. These variations are not defects, but a mark of authenticity and individuality.
Careful packing is carried out using protective inner and master cartons to ensure safe transit. Any specific compliance, testing, labeling, or special packing requirements can be accommodated upon request
Sampling & Prototyping
Samples and prototypes can be developed for new designs or specific project requirements. Sampling and courier charges are applicable and will be communicated in advance. For confirmed projects, sampling costs may be adjusted against final orders as mutually agreed.
